Sunday Haruna Byenkya
I have been a player in the tourism industry for the past seven years and have no hopes of retiring from it. I have been a guide to several visitors from different parts of the world on several road trips to the various attractions that Uganda has to offer.
I have enjoyed every bit of it especially making new friends and helping others learn about this beautiful part of the world.
I believe that traveling through unfamiliar grounds is one way that helps someone to rediscover themselves, refresh their minds and appreciate what Mother Nature has to offer thereby realizing how life is beautiful and valuable. It also increases the love we show to ourselves and others.
Therefore, I am an advocate for pleasurable and adventurous travel. I love meeting new people and making new friends.
Marketing and Tour Guiding
Brought up in the Pearl of Africa Uganda and having been born with extreme passion for traveling, I enjoy every bit of both guiding and convincing others to take a tour with me. I hold a Bachelor of Travel and Tourism Management of Makerere University. This training, together with my experience in the field, gave me ability to master the tourism product of Uganda and to be able to educate our clients, individual or group, about the beauty of Uganda. Having gone through all of this I continue to make my dreams come true by working hard while achieving my goals and my passion for nature.
I look forward to being your next guide in Uganda.
I began my career in the tourism industry eight years ago and look forward to spending the rest of my life in the same direction. I have guided dozens of inbound visitors throughout Uganda’s national parks, forests, mountains and cultural sites. I guided a number of British Expedition Groups all around Uganda and have facilitated the first venture to Uganda of International Football Coaching Programmes. My interests are in nature, culture, adventure, active sports and awareness events. I hold a Bachelor of Leisure and Hospitality Management. I love meeting new people and making friends.
I boast of over 10 years’ experience in the tourism industry, working as a tour guide and travel consultant. I have previously worked with some of Uganda’s most prestigious tour and travel companies, setting the pace of innovation and excellent service delivery. I love mammals, birds, history and geography. I also cherish meeting new people, making friends and talking business. I hold a Bachelor of Tourism, a Master of Hospitality and Tourism Management and a number of IATA international qualifications.
I am passionate about tourism, and particularly being of service to people. I love adventure, photography and meeting new people and new cultures. I wake up every day looking forward to new challenges and how to better myself to deliver a better service. Soon graduating with a degree in travel and tourism management, my role revolves around finding new clients, keeping the old ones and serving as a guide around Kampala City. Quite honestly, these are very exciting tasks!
It has always been my dream to work in the tourism industry. This is because it comes with an exciting range of opportunities such as discovering new cultures, helping others visit different places, meeting new people and making friends. I have also developed a deep appreciation and understanding of Uganda's tourism products, through a number of safaris I have had. I have been able to explore the great white waters, the gentle giants of Bwindi, the bird songs of over 1000 species, the people, culture, nature, sun, rain and wind. Now that I have seen all of this, my duty is to make sure that I put in place everything, including supporting our entire team to help you enjoy Uganda. Our core focus is to use tourism to conserve nature and culture while helping the vulnerable earn a livelihood. We cherish responsible travel and we are always here to enable you relax, enjoy, explore and learn.
I hold a Bachelor of Travel and Tourism Management of Makerere University.
